ISO 9001 / 45001 / 14001 / R2 CERTIFIED
ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. It is the most popular standard in the ISO 9000 series and the only standard in the series to which organizations can certify.
ISO 14001 sets out the criteria for an environmental management system. It does not state requirements for environmental performance but maps out a framework that a company or organization can follow to set up an effective environmental management system. It can be used by any organization that wants to improve resource efficiency, reduce waste, and drive down costs. Using ISO 14001 can provide assurance to company management and employees as well as external stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured and improved. ISO 14001 can also be integrated with other management functions and assists companies in meeting their environmental and economic goals.
ISO 45001:2018 specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, and gives guidance for its use, to enable organizations to provide safe and healthy workplaces by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving its OH&S performance.
ISO 45001:2018 helps an organization to achieve the intended outcomes of its OH&S management system. Consistent with the organization's OH&S policy, the intended outcomes of an OH&S management system include:
a) continual improvement of OH&S performance;
b) fulfilment of legal requirements and other requirements;
c) achievement of OH&S objectives.
The Responsible Recycling Practices for Use in Accredited Certification Programs for Electronics Recyclers – the R2 Standard – is a standard that sets forth requirements relating to environmental, health & safety, data security, and industry best practices for electronics recycling. The R2 Standard requires electronics recyclers to ensure that more toxic material streams are managed safely and responsibly by downstream vendors – all the way to final disposition. It also prohibits recyclers and their downstream vendors from exporting these more toxic materials to countries that have enacted laws making their import illegal, or to vendors that do not have the capability to properly manage them. It prohibits landfilling or incineration of devices or components containing toxic materials. It requires data destruction and security. And, it requires comprehensive environmental, health and safety practices.
